VIDEO: Doesn't everyone deserve this kind of support?

When a young person in foster care turns 19 in BC, they are abruptly cut off from the system that has provided a home, adult connections and support.

It’s a different story for young people with strong family and other support networks. In, fact our research shows that 80% of parents in BC provide support for their children between ages 19 to 28.

We asked some young people we know how their families support them, and we invite everyone to think about what young people leaving foster care need to succeed in life.
